Public Involvement / Community Outreach / Agency Coordination

Project support/acceptance from stakeholders - residents, community groups,

business, professional organizations, realtors, environmental groups, media outlets and

elected officials at the state, federal and local levels is essential to the success of any

project. Utilizing their vast resources, MBI•GluckShaw is able to perform, for consulting

engineering firms, agencies or corporations, the integrated Public Involvement/

Community Outreach, Public Relations/Agency Coordination program(s) required for

any large or small infrastructure project. Additionally, the firm is certified by the NJ

Department of Transportation as a Cost Basis Approved Sub-Consultant and by the

NJ Department of Treasury as a Small Business Enterprise Cat. 2 firm (SBE2).

Typical advocacy action plans contain five core components:

Planning

Grassroots Activities

Public Involvement/Government Affairs

Project Web Site Development & Maintenance

Media Relations

These core components of the advocacy action plan will meet, and in most cases

exceed, the detailed scope of work, as well as the goals and objectives of the client. All

five core components are initiated simultaneously and ongoing. Our team approaches

each project with a “hands on” philosophy. We remain at the ground level at all times to

keep in constant contact with the constituency impacted by the project and to resolve

issues and conflicts with potential traffic coordination, detour routes, construction noise,

pollution, parking issues, etc. Public involvement is primary but our team’s involvement

during design and construction with the lead contractors is key.

Association Management

MBI-GluckShaw also maintains a robust association management practice and currently represents several prominent industries in New Jersey. The firm is well equipped to handle both back room and external aspects of associations.  MBI has significant experience establishing new associations and has successfully led the resurrection and complete overhaul of stagnant associations.
