Oliver Bartlett is among Trenton’s most prominent and recognizable legislative agents, being the state’s first widely known African American lobbyist and an expert in the challenging nuances of healthcare facility finances.
After serving for many years at the New Jersey Hospital Association as Vice President of Government Relations, “Bart” became Acting President of United Hospitals of Newark. He recalls this period as the most challenging time of his life, fighting every day to keep the patients cared for and the doctors and nurses compensated.
He is regarded as a knowledgeable and trustworthy advisor by legislators, regulators and community groups throughout the state, ranging from those who care most about services for the impoverished to those who are most passionate about preserving the Revolutionary War artifacts in the environs of the State House in Trenton.
Oliver is a graduate of Hampton University.
