Wilfredo “Fred” Caraballo came to MBI-GluckShaw after serving six terms in the New Jersey General Assembly where he held leadership positions including that of Parliamentarian and Speaker Pro Tempore.
During his tenure in the State Legislature, he was Chairman of the Regulated Professions and Independent Authorities Committee and the Telecommunications and Utilities Committee. He served as the Vice-Chairman of the Transportation Committee and was a member of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Ethics. He also served on numerous special committees looking into issues involving health care, pensions and the structure of the State University system.
Prior to his legislative service, in the Cabinet of Governor James Florio Fred was the Public Advocate and Public Defender. Fred is a professor at Seton Hall University School of Law where he served as the Associate Dean. He also has served as President of the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Fred is a graduate of St. Joseph’s Seminary and College and earned his law degree at New York University.
